Anariel is a character exclusive to the Aeon of the Champion story series, and one of the Seven holy Aesir.
Most beloved and respected of all archangels, even more so than Duterius, Anariel is a true mediator and diplomat, capable of resolving conflicts of almost any nature. Her stability and ability to forge compromises have on numerous occasions reduced the ferocity of debate within the Aegis Council, although she is just as capable of speaking passionately about issues that are dear to here. In addition to being a Senior Councillor, she is also the leader of the Lyres, a group of female angels who sing the praises of the benevolent Light of Creation, and Anariel herself leads the sweet chorus of such songs. When the need arises, she is also a swift judicator, as the Garor saw first-hand.

- Anariel is based on Auriel from Diablo. Their personalities are similar, though Anariel is somewhat more decisive and belligerent than Auriel.
- She also behaves somewhat similarly to Tyrande Whisperwind of Warcraft.
