BomDogs is an enemy species who are set to appear in the Season 11 special Smurfs Heroes: Legend of the Moon Medal.
Basic Information
BomDogs are extremely agitated creatures by nature, and are known to explode when angered. They live in packs and are considered to be pests.
Ability Diversity
Black bomdogs will just wander off from the herd most times, but if they notice a potential victim, they will ignite and run towards him/her. Even if the victim tries to avoid them by simply keeping their distance, they will keep chasing until they explode.
The blue bomdogs can jump higher than other bomdogs and explode when they do a crash-landing, and sometimes they will do body slams before exploding.
The red ones are quite tricky since they will keep still until someone comes close enough without noticing their presence. Then, they'll ignite and explode, causing serious close-range damage.
The yellow bomdogs have spikes and are the most dangerous type to find. They can shoot their spikes from over a mile away (like a missile) and can roll towards their target, running over and impaling its victim as they explode.
Appearance
As their name states, they are bomb-like dogs: round-bodied mammals with wet noses, long floppy ears, four legs, and their tail looks like a bomb fuse. They come in four colors with the most common being black; the others are blue, red, and yellow. The yellow ones are the only type with pointy ears. All types have fierce, glowing yellow eyes.
Trivia
- During creation, they were first named "Bombogs", then changed as "Dog-Ombs", until it was changed as "BomDogs" in their final version.
- BomDogs are based on Voltorb from Pokémon, as both species are extremely agitated and explode when angered.
