Declan Xavier Smurf (also known as Declan Smurf or DX Smurf) is a fictional character that appears in an Imaginarium fantasy setting called Tribulation in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series.
Background Information[]
He is the ruler of a one-world government who in that scenario is supposed to be the prophesied Antichrist that would emerge before Jesus' Second Coming. He initially comes off as charming and charismatic, but over time he reveals himself to be ruthless and demanding constant worship of himself. In the fantasy setting, he signs a seven-year treaty with Israel and the surrounding nations which Tapper says begins "the last terrible week of the Lord" which is called the Tribulation. However, as Scripture dictates, Declan will break the treaty in the middle of that "week" and set up the "abomination of desolation" in the Jewish Temple.
