In the Aeon of the Champion story series, Ethelforth (c. 31,000 BGY - 26 February 30,929 BGY) was a preacher of the Light accredited with first bringing the power of the Holy Light to bear before the human barbarians of the Eastern Kingdoms. Some humans had already accessed the spiritual effect of this mystical force, experiencing vivid dreams and inscrutable visions, but Ethelforth was the first to make sense of them, and also started the process of Oral Preservation; passing down the doctrine of the Light via mouth, from generation to generation, while official means of recording words were yet undiscovered. Later, her teachings were codified as Scripture.
For her work in promoting religiousity among a hopeless and divided people, Ethelforth is typically cited as the pioneer of the Order of the Holy Light.
Ethelforth died in February on her 71st year of life, and her remains were buried in the area now known as Laudrin.
