Mainstream Smurfs Media
In mainstream Smurfs media, it first appeared in the Johan and Peewit comics, and then later appeared in the animated version of The Smurfs And The Magic Flute and the Smurfs cartoon show.

In the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, it is referred to as King Audric's castle, first appearing in "The Magic Flute With Six Holes."

In the HERO: The Guardian Smurf story series, it is referred to as King Leopold's castle, and is the current home of the King, his niece, Princess Savina, his court jester Peewit, and his First Knight Sir Johan and later a young man named Bryce. It first appeared as a recurring location in the story "Wonder the Naughty."
The castle appears as a playable Survival level in the Imaginarium setting of the same name, but takes place during a dark winter's night.
LD Stories
It is one of the central locations of The Smurfs: Light and Dark using the Exterior 2 design. Rightfully owned by the King, it is the current home of his beloved niece, Princess Savina, her mentor Dame Barbara, his court jester Peewit, and his First Knight Sir Johan. It was also the residence for Count Tremaine prior to his disappearance before the series' timeline began.
Starting in the end of Season 1, it also becomes the homestead for Falla after she befriends Johan and Peewit.
