Handy is a character who is part of the Expanded Animated Universe.
History[]
Prior to the beginning of the Expanded AU story events, he was one among a hundred young Smurfs being raised and cared for by the village leader and father figure Papa Smurf. A year before the events of the Expanded AU, Handy was among seventeen Smurfs who have all been lost in time due to the loss of the Ruby Key that controlled the arrangement of the Time Crystals. A year later, he and those same Smurfs all returned to the present time of the story series, with Handy continuing his role as the village inventor and mechanic.
Personality[]
His personality is identical to that of his cartoon show counterpart: he is always working on new inventions that would help his fellow Smurfs, even if very few of those inventions would last beyond only a certain amount of time due to potential overuse and/or misuse. He has a friendly rivalry with his fellow Smurf Handy.
