The Mirror Universe version of Handy that exists in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series is a master craftsman and inventor just like his normal universe counterpart. However, he would rather spend his time building weapons for his fellow Smurfs to use in their quest to take over the world. To that end, he has built an army of Clockwork Smurfs all based around the normal universe's second version design, seeing that the original design was too defective and was only interested in helping people. In addition to dating Smurfette, who in the Mirror Universe is married to Papa Smurf, Handy also has a similar relationship with Hefty, which nobody in the village has a problem with despite the fact that they are both biologically twin brothers.
