House Shimmerscale is a prominent, magocratic noble house of merfolk in the Aeon of the Champion story series, and it is the permanent royal family of the Kingdom of Atlantis. It has held the throne since -29,000, during the Flesh War between the nephilim and the fallen Earth Watchers, starting with Benevolent Matriarch Tyrina. Despite bearing the name Shimmerscale, members of the family rarely use it as a style of address - to this date, only Queen Seraphina (ruled between -16,053 until -7,106) has used it as such.
