Background Information
His majesty was reluctant to allow his only daughter, Marina to venture all the way to the Pools of Avalon in search of a cure for his dwindling health, and when she did not return, he risked his health to find her. Luckily, the pair were found and helped to survive out of water thanks to the Smurfs -- particularly Handy who invented a smurferator for them. Once King Aquarius was restored to proper health and able to return to the ocean, he coaxed his daughter to come along with a heavy heart, having noticed how she and Handy had fallen in love.
Relationship with Marina
He is overall a kind and calm ruler who wants what is best for his people, especially Marina. He supported her in trying to find a way for her and Handy to be together, but it logically could never happen without one leaving their world behind, so he now gives Marina the support she needs to move on from.
Appearance
King Aquarius is a bald elderly ruler with a long grey beard that grows out over his ears, a bulbous nose, tired yet caring eyes with standard black pupils, and green skin and scales. He wears a gold crown adorned with bobbles atop the points and a yellow-orange robe with yellow trimming.

His original voice actor was the late Don Messick, and a potential future candidate may be Alan Oppenheimer. Another alternative has yet to be decided.
