King Leopold (also known as The Good King) is a character that appears in the HERO: The Guardian Smurf story series.
Background Information
He is the king whom Sir Johan, Peewit, and Dame Barbara serve under, who is the uncle of Princess Savina. Although he has yet to physically appear, he appears in the flashback story shown to Hero, Wonder, and Smurfette by Papa Smurf in the Imaginarium, about the time they had to help Johan and Peewit track down a thief who had stolen their magic flute, 4 years before Hero returned from being exiled.
Personality
He exhibits a fatherly personality toward Johan, Peewit, and Princess Savina, considering them and Dame Barbara the closest thing he had to a family. As far as his rulership skills, he is a reasonable authority figure who is fair and wise in his judgments, though at times he doesn't like staying in the castle and letting others go off on adventures that he wishes to be part of himself.
Appearance
He mostly wears a red kingly robe and a crown, and has a white beard and mustache.
Voice Actor(s)
The desired voice actor would be Brian Blessed, known mostly for his hearty, king-sized portrayals, and also of Prince Vultan in the 1980 Flash Gordon movie. Another suitable candidate would be Ned Beatty, who voiced Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear in Toy Story 3.
