- To Shinny upon their first met

Kirby is one of the main characters of MTRoberts124ki's SHINNY: The Crystal Smurf fanfiction stories. He originated from Nintendo's Kirby video game series and its anime version; Kirby Right Back at Ya.

Background Information[]

He was originally an imaginary friend created by Shinny from his childhood days during exile. When none of the Smurfs wanted to play with him, Shinny starts drawing Kirby out of boredom and starts shedding lonely tears onto the drawing, little did he knew that his tears held magic that can bring any drawing to life. The next day, Shinny had found the drawing of Kirby to be missing from the same paper, due that Kirby had sprung to life overnight while the Smurfs were sleeping. Kirby, in his original white form, was found digging through Shinny's boxes of supplies out of curiosity, much to Shinny's surprise at first.

Kirby and Shinny quickly became friends and Shinny shows Kirby around to the other Smurfs. The Smurfs were taken by surprise before they then try and make Kirby comfortable, but later on, Kirby started making trouble around the village such as carelessly breaking Vanity's mirror, making a mess with Brainy's books, digging up Smurfette's flowers, and inhaling the entire dinner that Greedy had cooked for the Smurfs. The Smurfs became irritated with Kirby's antics and started to blame Shinny for bringing him into the village.

When Papa Smurf had returned to the village from his trip at Homnibus, the Smurfs informed him of Shinny bringing Kirby into the village, and all the damage that Kirby has done. Shinny explains to Papa Smurf about the events from last night. Papa Smurf tells Shinny that his tears can magically bring any drawing or a few objects to life before then telling him that the magic can only last for 24 hours, which means that Kirby will revert back to a lifeless drawing, much to Shinny's disappointment. Seeing how important Kirby is to Shinny, he promises him to do something to help Kirby, but will have to send him off to a different area where he won't cause any more damage to the village.

While the Smurfs went out to pick smurfberries, Gargamel appeared and was able to capture them, but Clumsy and Smurfette managed to escape and ran back to the village to inform Papa Smurf and Shinny. Shinny refused to let Kirby come along, but Kirby decided to rather help them. Once Gargamel was able to capture the remaining Smurfs, Kirby appears and once again uses his powers to inhale, this time he was able to gain a fire ability by inhaling Gargamel's fire wood and defeated Gargamel. It is revealed that Shinny had the imagination of Kirby having the power to inhale and copy abilities during his childhood, and whatever imagination of the ability his creations have comes to reality as well.

After saving the Smurfs, they give Kirby their thanks and he was given the chance to stay. Papa Smurf preforms a real-life spell on Kirby, saving him from reverting back into a drawing at the end of the day, which transforms him into a pink real-life creature.
