Miner Smurf of Glourluirg (known mostly as Miner) is a Smurf character who is a part of the Bioau story series.
History[]
Miner Smurf was born the first child of Barkeep Smurf. 35 years later, her brother Lucky Smurf was born. 39 years after that, when Miner was 74, the First Bzz Plague happened, and her mother (and aunt) died.
Miner and Archaeologist were already friends before the tragedy, but they became even closer afterwards. They both liked to dig, although for different reasons, and now after the tragedy they both had their little brothers to take care of. Their brothers would go off to play together, and Miner and Archaeologist would hang out and talk.
Around 134, this friendship became a dating relationship. While the two had already started their jobs by this point, they would write each other letters and spend time together whenever they could. They were destined for each other, they thought. At 220 (approximately four years before The Creation Of The Smurfette), Miner married Archaeologist.
Personality[]
Miner Smurf is a very dedicated Smurf, who spends most of her time in the mines. She enjoys her job, although it can be difficult, and she often sings to herself. She likes to make jokes.
Relationships[]
- Archaeologist Smurf is Miner's wife. The two are only recently married, but Miner is very much in love. They're both still in the honeymoon phase, being overly affectionate with each other whenever they see each other. This isn't very much, however, as they both work outside the village.
- Lucky Smurf is Miner's little brother. She cares for him, and wishes he would stop getting himself into trouble.
- Greedy Smurf is one of Miner's friends.
- Clumsy Smurf is one of Miner's friends. She often gives him the useless shiny rocks she finds, since they don't really have a use outside of his rock collection.
Role[]
Miner is a spelunker who's usually found working in the mines extracting useful metals.
Appearance[]
Miner Smurf is short and stocky, with dark periwinkle skin and bright green eyes. Her hair is straight and black, and she keeps it trimmed short. She wears a red bandanna, a dark grey coat, and a brown hat. She has a candle on her hat, which she lights if she needs to see her way around in the darkness. She also wears a wedding ring on her right hand.

- Despite being female, this version of Miner Smurf is still imagined as being voiced by a man.
- The other role Alan Young, the original cartoon voice actor of Miner Smurf, is best known for is Scrooge McDuck. Since Alan Young is deceased, David Tennant was chosen as Miner's desired voice actor, due to being the voice actor of Scrooge McDuck in Ducktales 2017.

- Miner has a Gaelic accent (a sort of mix of Scottish and Irish, which is why she's categorized as having both) and often says things such as "Smurfin' Begorrah!"
