The Native Americans are known to be the most peaceful people in the Americas. The natives meet Glovey when he was in his Enchanted Smurf form and he flies down to what appears as a village to him. The people see him and confuse him as an angel or Cherub of some sort who came from Heaven to aid them from the new settlers who have been killing their wild buffalos. Glovey's original intention was to ask for directions or perhaps for a map. Feeling sorry for them, he plays along claiming to be the angel who was sent by God because he heard their cries for help and along with the spirits of the old tribes. Glovey succeeds in helping the natives, and in return he is given a map of the stars that would help him find his way into the eastern part of the territories claimed by the United States, and after that, he sails home back to Europe to he Smurf village telling his tale about the most peaceful people he met and how he could compare their culture with the Smurfs. He never gets to see them again though in the next century as the village disappears and only a railroad is seen with a train station leading up to the industrial revolution along with a steam punk era world wide.

Out of coincidence, the native people behave like the Smurfs as if they were their counterparts, which included having a chief giving orders and tasks for the tribe members.
The tribes Glovey met also wore pants and hats similar to the smurfs, while others simply had long manes for hair and decorations such as feathers and face paint.
