The Smurf Village publishes the Smurf Village Voice in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series. When Smurfbook became a popular means of sharing information, the village newspaper eventually evolved into posting its information there for all Smurfs to access, thus eliminating the use of paper.
