Papa Smurf's laboratory is the center location of Papa Smurf's activities in the Smurfs comic books, the Smurfs cartoon show, and the 2011 Smurfs movie. It is where he works on various formulas, either by himself or with Brainy as his assistant. Usually his laboratory is separate from his own personal house, and is off-limits to every Smurf.

Empath: The Luckiest Smurf stories
In the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, only Papa Smurf, Brainy, and Empath have access to the laboratory, which also can be used for private talks Papa Smurf may have with his little Smurfs.
Because Papa Smurf's laboratory tends to get blown up due to failed experiments, a secondary laboratory is set up in the Smurf Village. Like the main laboratory, that is also off limits to all Smurfs.
Hero: The Guardian Smurf stories
Papa Smurf's laboratory in the HERO: The Guardian Smurf story series is primarily Papa Smurf's private work space which he lets only a few Smurfs have access to, including Brainy. Since Mother Smurfette came into being through the Mirror Of Opposition, Papa Smurf shares the work space with her as they collaborate together working on various experiments.
Glovey stories
In the Smurf Me Up series, only Papa Smurf is allowed to enter the lab. This however doesn't stop many of the Smurfs to barge in running, only to get greeted by an angry Papa Smurf explaining how he has said numerous times to not enter his domain. In the GNAP! story, it is used as a safe haven for the Smurflings, Glovey Smurf, Smurfette, Baby Smurf, and Papa Smurf himself.
LD Stories/Expanded AU
Within The Light and Dark Series, which crosses over with the Expanded Animated Universe, this laboratory is used primarily by Papa Smurf in solitary or with his assistant, Brainy. While it is off-limits to every Smurf without his supervision, there are occasional times where some Smurf tries their hand at magic -- such as Smurfette, who has since learned to resist the temptation.
Moxette has a bad habit of breaking into Papa's lab, much like Brainy's studio. Two instances of her directly disobeying Papa's "off-limits" rule are in the Season 10 episodes, "Beyond the Mirror's Reflection" (to find the Tracing Mirror he had hidden), and "Moxette's Crazy, Stupid Love" (to find the humanity spell he had recently discovered).
Smurfs: The Devereaux Story
In the Smurfs: The Devereaux Story series, there is a secret underground chamber that Papa Smurf had set up underneath his house that Eska Devereaux and Spiro discover as they travel down into the chamber to find out Papa Smurf's secret -- a tomb full of deceased female Smurfs that were wiped out during the Great Female Smurf Plague.
