The Mirror Universe version of Papa Smurf that exists in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series is a sorcerer and the leader of the Smurf Village, just like his normal universe counterpart. However, he rules the village with an iron fist, often controlling his little Smurfs through intimidation and torture with his son Empath as his assistant. He has also married Smurfette, despite the fact that she is in physical maturity the same age as her fellow Smurfs, and also despite the fact that she freely gives herself to every Smurf in the village -- a behavior that Papa Smurf doesn't appreciate, but is willing to put up with as long as every Smurf, inclduing Empath, knows that she belongs solely to him. To enforce complete faithfulness from Smurfette, Papa Smurf cast a spell on her that would cause her to revert to a lifeless lump of clay if she ever left him or the Smurf Village. It is believed that he engineered the deaths of his fellow Smurfs, including his wife Lillithina, so that he could have sole control of the entire village. He is one of the few Smurfs in the village who enjoys intimate relationships with only Smurfs of the opposite sex.
