A pegasus is a mythical horse with wings that enables it to fly. It is named for the horse-god with the same appearance that appears in Greek mythology. They also appear in Norse mythology as steeds for Valkyries.

In "Sassette's Bewitching Friendship", Melina the good witch turned Gargamel's broomstick into a pegasus when she tried to use her magic to stop the evil wizard from capturing the Smurfs.
In "The Smurf Odyssey", Hermes had a pet horse named Pegasus (Peggie for short) that would come to life whenever his master needed to fly away from his father Zeus.
