"If only Smurfette were human, I would gladly take her to be my bride."
Prince Theodore is a human character that is part of the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, whom Empath had met during his first year living among the Smurfs after he left Psychelia for good. He is a prince that was turned into a frog by his court magician Morlock, who sought to have control over the prince's kingdom, and escaped in order to find help and to avoid the guards who are sent to capture a "demon frog".
In his search for help, Prince Theodore encountered the Smurfs out in the forest. Smurfette felt sorry for the prince and hoped to reunite him with his fiancee, Lady Jasmine, so that he can get a kiss from the one who loves him the most and be turned back into a prince. As Smurfette, Sassette, Empath and Poet accompany Theodore back into the castle, they discover that Morlock is intending to use a frog turned into the appearance of Prince Theodore as a pawn so he could marry Jasmine and thus Morlock could have control of the kingdom. They also discover that Jasmine herself truly doesn't love Theodore, only intending to marry him for the money.
With the frog transformation spell slowly becoming permanent as the real Theodore was losing his voice and the kiss from Jasmine wasn't changing him back, Smurfette kissed Theodore and changed him back into a human. At the same time, during the wedding ceremony, Jasmine kissed the fake Prince Theodore, who then changed back into a frog, scaring the young lady and revealing Morlock's evil plan. After Morlock was captured and put into the dungeon, Theodore and Jasmine mutually called the wedding off.
Smurfette considers Prince Theodore the first human she has ever fallen in love with, which made Empath feel somewhat jealous, although Smurfette told Empath that she could never marry him because they are of two different species. Nevertheless, it does make Empath feel somewhat suspicious of Smurfette, making any encounters they would have with the young prince be made with a bit of caution.
