The Mirror Universe version of the Psyches in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series are similar to their normal universe counterparts in that they are a humanoid group of beings resembling Smurfs that possess telepathic and telekinetic powers.
Where they differ from the normal universe Psyches, however, is that the Psyche Master (who formerly was a Smurf but rejected their ways) leads his created people through interactive love and discipline rather than dictating his orders from within a temple in the center of the village. Also the Psyches are not withheld from expressing any emotion, though they are taught how to express their emotion in a manner that does not hurt anyone.
Their freedom of expression is also displayed in their manner of dress, as the male Psyches wear only a pair of pants while the female Psyches wear a simple dress and shoes. Thirdly, while the Mirror Universe Psyches themselves do not physically procreate, they are given opposite gender mates at birth rather than be forced to bond with partners of the same sex. They do engage in the ritual called "dream sharing", however, which they find to be more intimate than any form of physical activity.
Polaris Psyche of the normal universe first encountered the Mirror Universe Psyches when he sought for their help against the Mirror Universe Smurfs. Although the Mirror Universe Psyche Master was originally against the idea of coming against the people that he ultimately rejected, he eventually led his Psyches into a battle with the Mirror Universe Smurfs, during which the Mirror Universe Empath's telepathic and telekinetic abilities were severed.
