"Rhythm of My Heart" is a rock song written by Marc Jordan and John Capek for Dutch rock and roll artist René Shuman's 1986 debut album René Shuman. In 1991 Rod Stewart recorded the song for his album Vagabond Heart.
Empath: The Luckiest Smurf stories[]
A more folksy version of the song's chorus with bagpipes appears in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story "Where No Smurf Has Gone Before" as a song that the Smurfs sing in Empath's daydream of captaining the S.S. Smurf II.
