Scrooge MacSmurf is a character who appears in a theatrical production of A Smurf Christmas Carol in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series. He is the Smurf version of Ebenezer Scrooge, the main character of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, who in this version of the story is a cold-hearted miser who despises Christmas. On the night before Christmas, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former partner Marley Smurf as well as the three Spirits of Christmas who show him how he became the person he is and what his future will be if he doesn't change. By Christmas morning, Scrooge becomes an entirely new person who is glad to have a second chance and now celebrates Christmas.
