Scruple is a character who is part of the Expanded Animated Universe.
History[]
Scruple was a student of the Wizard's School, who proved to be such a troublemaker that the teachers didn't know what to do with him. The Dean of Wizards therefore decided to cast him upon Gargamel so that they could be rid of him. Gargamel didn't like having to have such a pesky young fellow as his apprentice, and Scruple didn't particularly like Gargamel either, but the Dean of Wizards promised Gargamel a seat on the school's board if he would train him to the point of being an effective young wizard.

Scruple is mischievous and likes to do his own thing rather than follow his master's instructions.
