Seltzer (also called soda, tonic, pop, or soda water) is a beverage created by introducing carbonation to water that is mostly enjoyed by humans. It can be served either as plain unflavored soda water or in a variety of different flavors, including cola. Most contain some amount of caffeine, although a few decaffeinated versions exist.
Empath: The Luckiest Smurf stories[]
In the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, seltzer is served by Tapper as an alternative to sarsaparilla ale and various other alcoholic drinks in his tavern as well as other types of events. Polaris and the Smurflings are the most common drinkers of this beverage, with Polaris drinking the plain seltzer and the Smurflings the flavored seltzers.
Hero: The Guardian Smurf stories[]
Seltzer is served by Nikolai Smurfeski at his bar to any Smurf under the age of 100 in the HERO: The Guardian Smurf story series. It was primarily served to the Smurflings before they became the required age to drink any alcoholic beverages. It was then primarily served to the Smurflings of the next generation.
