The Smurf Village Dining Hall (alternately called the Dining Commons) is a location in the Smurf Village that appears in the comic books, the cartoon show, and The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol animated feature by Sony Pictures Animation.

Empath: The Luckiest Smurf stories

The dining hall in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series is adjacent to Greedy's kitchen. It is where Greedy and his kitchen staff serve meals to their fellow Smurfs at their designated times, though it is usually open all day until bedtime. On special occasions such as during celebrations and warmer seasons, meals would be held outside. Sometimes private functions such as Smurfette's bridal shower and Grouchy and Broccoli's wedding are held in this location.

The Mirror Universe Smurf Village also has a dining hall for its Smurfs, although the kitchen crew does not seem to have an interest in keeping things clean for the sake of the diners.

Hero: The Guardian Smurf stories

The dining hall makes its appearance in the HERO: The Guardian Smurf story adaptation of A Christmas Carol when Grouchy is visited by the Three Smurfs Of Christmas to show him what Christmas would be for the Smurfs without him being part of it.

LD Stories

Within The Light and Dark Series, the village dining hall is a location used at least three times a day. It is considered one of the most vital social establishments in the village since Communion is symbolic of relationship status between individuals (primarily in writing, theatre, etc.).

Featured Usage

In "Moxette's Crazy, Stupid Love," it is revealed that Moxette likes to sit on the far end of the table. However, the night before she turns herself human, she sat next to Brainy, which he claims was highly unlike her. He later learns that she did this in order to obtain the key to Papa Smurf's laboratory, which he had had in his pocket. This is referenced back to in "Return of the Weresmurf" by him when she sits next to him to learn more about him having been a Weresmurf.
