Smurfette is a Smurf character who is a part of the Bioau story series.
History[]
- Arc 1: Smurfette was created by Gargamel in order to lure the Smurfs (who Gargamel assumed were all male) to their doom. However, she grew close to the Smurfs, and when Gargamel actually captured them, she freed them and defeated Gargamel.
Personality[]
Smurfette is emotional and caring, and always full of wonder at the world and at new things. She loves her family of Smurfs and passionately enjoys her interests in beauty and gardening.
She's tough and resourceful, intelligent and independent. She hates when people try to protect her, as she's able to defend herself. She has many strong opinions she has no qualms about expressing, and will always stand up for the underdog. Smurfette also constantly feels the need to prove herself to those around her.
Relationships[]
- Many of the other Smurfs have crushes on Smurfette, although she does not always reciprocate.
- Gargamel is the person who Smurfette hates the most. Every time she sees him, she remembers him threatening her when she worked for him, and refuses to believe he could ever change.
- Brainy and Smurfette have an on-and-off friendship. They became friends quickly over their shared interest in fashion and big flashy events. However, if they don't have something concerning those interests to talk about, and don't have anyone to mediate between them, the two will quickly devolve into arguments and passive-aggressive competitions over who's better at any given topic.
- Vanity Smurf is one of Smurfette's closest friends. The two of them have a natural chemistry, and share interests in fashion and beauty.
Role[]
Smurfette's role in the village is the same as any other Smurf who doesn't have a specific job- chores, and helping out where she can. She's usually one of the first to volunteer to take on risky and adventurous tasks.
Appearance[]
Smurfette is rather short, only beating out Brainy and Grouchy in height. Although she has long legs, she has a short torso. She has an average build but a rather flat chest. Her skin is cornflower blue, and her long blonde hair goes down to her waist. Her eyes are black. She wears a white sleeveless dress with frills, and white shoes. Her appearance very closely fits medieval beauty standards.
Before she was a real Smurf, she was short, fat, but with strangely short legs and strangely long arms- in general looking like someone with no artistic skill tried to sculpt a person. Her dress back then was sleeveless but had no frills, and she had short silky black hair.

- Amber Gray as Smurfette was inspired by Amber Gray playing Persephone in the musical "Hadestown." Both characters are associated with spring, and both have the duality of sweet and rough.
