Smurfette is a character who is part of the Expanded Animated Universe.
History[]
Prior to the beginning of the Expanded AU story events, she was a creation of Gargamel that was intended to destroy the Smurfs, but upon being found out and ready to be sentenced, she acknowledged that she desired to be a true Smurf, and thus Papa Smurf with his magic recreated her as a true Smurf. A year before the events of the Expanded AU, Smurfette was among seventeen Smurfs who have all been lost in time due to the loss of the Ruby Key that controlled the arrangement of the Time Crystals. A year later, she and those same Smurfs all returned to the present time of the story series, with Smurfette continuing her role as the caregiver of Baby Smurf.
Personality[]
Her personality is identical to that of her cartoon show counterpart: she is generally friendly to most of her fellow Smurfs, yet she cannot decide which among them would be suitable as her one true love, for she loved them equally. She acts as an older sister to her fellow female Smurf Sassette, and is very protective when it comes to Baby Smurf.
