The Solar Flare is an ability that involves placing ones hands close to the face with the fingers spread toward the eyes. The name of the technique is then called out, which provokes a white light to fire out and blind everything watching except the user, since they're the one projecting the light. It is mainly used as a way to gain the upper hand in a conflict, or in order to make hasty retreat, or to set up for a more complicated attack without fear of interruption.

In the Other World Series, this ability is considered to be at an Intermediate level and requires a vast amount of energy for students to be able to perform it at its full capacity.

Hero performs this ability in the HERO series. He performs it by placing his hands close to the center of his face with the fingers spread toward his eyes. He then calls out the name of the technique, which provokes a white light to fire out and blind everything watching except him, since he's projecting the light. This technique is defensive rather than offensive.
