Tharp is a character who is part of the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series. He is a baby gargoyle who is the pet of Selwyn and Tallulah, the sorcerer couple who lives in Quarrel Castle. Tharp is very friendly and wants to play with people. He first met the Smurfs when he was looking for somebody to play with during a heated argument between his owners. Papa Smurf met Tharp when he was just a little hatchling. He remained with the couple up to their later years when they decided to journey to another world to live out the rest of their lives in peace before they pass away, joining them in the same journey.
