"The Hungry Smurfs" is a story that takes place in the HERO: The Guardian Smurf story series. It is an adaptation of the comic book story "Hunger of The Smurfs" (also known as "The Hungry Smurfs"), which appeared as a backup story in the comic book The Smurfette.
Plot Summary
It is close to Winter, and the Smurfs are busy gathering supplies to last them through to Spring, but unfortunately a fire burns down the village warehouse and the Smurfs are left without food. Hero leaves in search of food but is unsuccessful. So, the Smurfs have no choice but to abandon the village. They travel South in search of food, and they come across an empty castle. They meet a human called Lord Poppery, who is a ruined Lord. He offers the Smurfs his last piece of food until a mouse snatches it and runs away. The Smurfs soon find a treasure and they take it to the lord, who uses it to purchase lots of supplies and he shares it with the Smurfs, who begin their journey home.
