"The Mermaid" is a poem co-written by Peewit (having started it intentionally as a song) and Josten Lancaster (having finished it and suggested it as a poem rather than a song) in The Smurfs: Light and Dark.
Synopsis
Peewit began creation of this song in "Kiddie Crushes" after being inspired by Falla coming to live in the Good King's castle. When he later showed it to Josten and admitted he was having trouble finishing the piece, Josten took inspiration from Falla's decision to stay in the King's castle as a permanent resident after she had made friends with him, Johan, and Peewit.
