The Old Tower is a location originally used by the Smurfs in the comic book and cartoon episode "The Smurfs and the Howlibird," and also appears in the comic book story "The Smurfs and the Little Ghost," which is one of the stories in the book Gargamel and the Smurfs. The wiki page is located here.
Appearance
It has a small crack in the front door wide enough for the Smurfs to run through. It is made of stone, and has a wooden door similar to the kind seen on such characters' houses like Gargamel, Homnibus, and the like. There is a window with a wooden covering near the top, and on the open top part is a loft made to look like some kind of house. Vines have grown up from the bottom to the window, and the tower rests on a hill in a clearing of the forest. Check the gallery for more images depicting these features.
LD Stories/Expanded AU
Within The Light and Dark Series, which crosses over with the Expanded Animated Universe, it is used as one of the locations in Season 11 as well as Story Two. More information to come later!
Empath: The Luckiest Smurf Series
While the actual tower has yet to appear in any of the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf stories, a similar Smurf-scale tower also called by that name appears in the story "The Great Book Of Answers." The difference between the towers is that the Smurf-scale tower has a domed top instead of a battlement.
