The Tournament of Power is the name of a fighting tournament held in an undisclosed location in the Smurf forest every Summer. It is a gathering of ten fighters from the residents of the forest and its surrounding areas, although there is nothing major at stake; bragging rights are the main motivation for its participants. The tournament runs for a total of 48 minutes.
Rules[]
- Fighters cannot be killed, use weapons (other than techniques), or use healing items (e.g. Senzu Beans) during the match.
- Fighters remain in play even if rendered unconscious or unable to fight. A fighter is eliminated only when made to fall off of the fighting stage or when out of bounds.
- The tournament consists of a single match with all fighters battling at the same time.
- When all 10 fighters of a team are eliminated, the race is eliminated from the tournament and must return home.
- Once a fighter has been knocked out of the ring, they cannot return to the ring or directly attack the contestants currently in the arena. Anyone who attempts violating this rule will result in an instant disqualification for the entire team and they must return home.
- Fighters may be able to jump high, but they are unable to use Flight. However, fighters who are born with wings are able to. Fighters must use own physical strength in the arena, no special powers are allowed.
