Wartmongers are amphibious creatures that live in the region called Pussywillow Hollow. They live in a kingdom society ruled by King Bullrush. They hunt after the Pussywillow Pixies using bubble guns that encase their prey in bubbles and bring them back to the palace where they are put to work as slaves. Their bodies are usually covered with warts; thus a Wartmonger that doesn't have any warts is considered "wartless" and is usually looked down upon by other Wartmongers. Most Wartmongers shown on screen are male, with the only female Wartmongers being shown in the episode The Scarlet Croaker.
Empath: The Luckiest Smurf stories
The Wartmongers in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series consist of both males and females, though their method of reproduction is unknown. The male Wartmongers tend to be the most dominant and controlling of the two genders in their society, with males given positions of power even in the royal court and the females subjected to living in slums in the swamp regions. Princess Chamelianne is the only female Wartmonger who is given any power or position in King Bullrush's court due to her family ties to the king and due to her unique telepathic powers which are rare among the Wartmonger species.
