The wheelsmurfer was an invention Handy Smurf came up with for Hefty to help him become active again during his leg injury in "Hefty And The Wheelsmurfer". The invention is basically a Smurf version of the wheelchair, and although Hefty refused it at first, he eventually gained the courage to use it and found it to be very useful.
Empath: The Luckiest Smurf stories[]
In the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, Smurfette appeared in a wheelsmurfer following the birth of her daughter Psycheliana. At the final years of Papa Smurf's life, Handy's sons Gizmo and Widget would invent an smurfomatic wheelsmurfer that allowed Papa Smurf to get around the village without tiring himself out.
Hero: The Guardian Smurf stories[]
In the HERO: The Guardian Smurf story series, both Wonder and Smurfette used the wheelsmurfer in the latter period of their pregnancies with Hero's respective daughters Saviour and Miracle.
