The Wicked Witch Of The West is a character who is part of the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, originally appearing in the in-universe fictional story The Wizard Of Odds.

In the Smurflings' actual encounter with the character, she was looking for the smurfberry red heels that her sister, the Wicked Witch Of The East, wore which contained a magical power that she claimed only she and sister know how to control. Glinda the Good Witch, however, kept the Wicked Witch from using the heels, causing them to appear on Sassette's feet instead, warning her to keep them on at all times. The Wicked Witch sought to capture Sassette and gain the magic heels for herself, only for her to be shocked when she tried to forcibly remove the heels from Sassette's feet. Instead, she cast a spell on Sassette that would cause her to die when the sands of the hourglass run out if her fellow Smurflings did not rescue her before then.

The Wicked Witch and her guards trapped them along the battlements of her castle and threatened to destroy Nat Smurfling as the Scarecrow by setting him on fire with her broomstick. Sassette used a bucket of water to put out the fire, but the spray of water also hit the Wicked Witch, causing her to melt into nothingness while cursing Sassette for her actions.

As the Smurflings would find out, the Wicked Witch and all the characters they met in the land of Odds were not real, but were actually part of the dream world that they were trapped in together when Gargamel had cast a spell on them with the help of the dream spirit Morphio.

The character is a modified version of the original from the 1939 film The Wizard Of Oz, which is based on the story The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz by L. Frank Baum. Her appearance is based on that from the original character, though her face resembles that of Gargamel with green skin and long black hair. Her mannerisms would be similar of that portrayed by the film character's actress Margaret Hamilton.
